This 1959 Ferrari 250GT is documented with all custodianship. A pinnacle of Pininfarina and a great opportunity to invest & enjoy. This Previously Royally Owned Ferrari comes with documentation, binder and history file, owner's manual and tools.
.
The 250 Ferrari was the first volume produced model. Enzo Ferrari seen it as vitally important to the company's future stability. It started with the 250 Europa, built from 1953 to 1954, with an amount fewer than 20. The 250 Europa's introduction heralded a significant change in Ferrari's preferred coachbuilder; previously Vignale had been the most popular. Needing series production to stabilize Enzo Ferrari's company finances, he asked Carrozeria PininFarina to design a simple and classic 250GT coupe. Pinin built a plant in Grugliasco to expand the production and produced the new 250 GT coupe PininFarina. This coupe was introduced at the Milan Show in 1958 and 335 near identical examples were built by 1960.
.
Offered here by Euro Prestige Imports is a 250GT Series 1 Coupe number 1471GT - arguably one of the most exciting examples of the model, both in terms of prominent ownership, show-car status and factory options. 1471GT started life in May of 1959, when its bare chassis was sent to the Torino facility of Carrozzeria Pinin Farina, to be clothed in their elegant Coupe coachwork. The seventh to last of the first series 128D chassis, 1471GT was factory equipped with four wheel disc brakes, and the offset-lever four-speed overdrive transmission. The craftsmen at Pinin Farina spent most of the summer building the coachwork for the new Ferrari, finishing it in an elegant two-tone livery of Grigio Argento on the top, and a Bianco lower half. A beautifully contrasting red was chosen for the interior.
.
1471GT was completed in October of 1959, and soon thereafter delivered to the official Ferrari importer and agency of Sweden, Tore Bjurstrom. Mr. Bjurstrom had big plans for the new Ferrari, and soon after taking delivery transported 1471GT to Germany for display at the 1959 International German Auto Show - IAA in Frankfurt. After the show, 1471GT returned to Sweden, where HRH Prince Bertil, the Ferrari's first owner, took delivery in late 1959. The Duke of Holland, Prince Bertil Gustaf Oskar Carl Eugén was 47 years old when he took delivery of his new Pinin Farina Coupe. A popular public figure in Scandinavia and throughout Europe, Bertil had a great passion for motorcars, and would own several Ferraris during his lifetime.
.
In 1961, 1471GT was sold on to Langdon 'Bill' Proctor, an American playboy residing in Switzerland. Mr. Proctor was known to rub shoulders with the Swiss elite, and surely felt right at home when arriving at exotic destinations in the silver and white Ferrari. 1471GT was registered on Swiss canton Vaud license plate VD 106426, and used often as daily transport by Procter. In November 1964, the Ferrari returned to Maranello, where it was serviced and maintained at Ferrari's factory Assistenza Clienti service center. This Ferrari is a pinnacle of Pininfarini. With motor show and celebrity ownership history, rare factory options and exceptional originality, 1471GT must be one of the most exciting examples of this legendary model available today.

Let us introduce you to Marcel's big break as Tom Selleck 😅 Did you know! Selleck’s big break on TV almost didn’t happen. Producers Steven Spielberg and George Lucas wanted him to play Indiana Jones on the big screen in “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” but he was already committed to “Magnum P.I.” after shooting the pilot for the show.,

-Drift Master: Side Slip Control is a program specific to the Speciale which allows the driver to enter and hold a corner while in a controlled drift. -Easy Breathing: Since the 458 is probably among the last naturally aspirated V8 models, the intakes and exhausts were opened up to make a screaming monster at 9,000 rpm. -Lap Times: In testing around Maranello, 458 Speciale was only half a second behind the F12berlinetta. That is quite an accomplishment for having a disadvantage of four cylinders. -Weight: From the aluminum chassis to the composite interior, Speciale weighs in at only 3,076 lbs. The new 488 GTB is almost 400 lbs heavier thanks to twin turbos and other unnecessary luxuries. -Lag: No matter how advanced your wastegates and computer controls are, turbochargers take time to spool up. With the Speciale, there’s no lag thanks to a lack of turbos. -Grip: Ferrari states that lateral adhesion of the 458 Speciale is 1.33 G. If you can hold on to a steering wheel at that level, be our guest to try because at that point the car is able to outperform the driver. -Pininfarina: The 458 Speciale wears a body styled by Pininfarina, but since the famed styling house was purchased by Indian conglomerate Mahindra, it is probably among the last Ferrari models to sport such perfect proportions.
